The Battlegroup forms up on the Runway, in Tapa Camp, for the start of the Brigade and Battlegroup integration phase of Exercise WINTER CAMP. This opportunity allows crews and commanders to conduct final checks before moving on to the area to establish positions.

Soldiers of NATOs multinational enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup (eFP BG) are training with the 1st Estonian Infantry Brigade (1 EST Bde) during Estonias annual exercise WINTER CAMP. The two-week long exercise which started on the 28th of January 2023 demonstrates the combined arms capabilities of UK, French, Danish and Estonian forces.

For the past five months, the current rotation of the UK-led eFP BG has consisted of the British Armys Kings Royal Hussars (KRH) Tank Regiment, B Company of the Scots Guards, 127 Battery and 176 Battery of the Royal Artillery and 3 Armoured Engineer Squadron (3AES) deployed alongside the Armys Viking Squadron and the Les Verts Company of the French Armys Mountain Infantry Brigade.

The exercise also saw a further surge of troops including a company of Mountain Commandos and a platoon of Chemical Biological Radioactive and Nuclear (CBRN) specialists of the French Army DeTere, the RAFs Chinook Helicopters (CH47) of the Royal Air Forces Aviation Task Force and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) of the US Armys 1st Infantry Division (1ID).
