ProVida 4000 Radar

ProVida mobile speed enforcement systems, based on approved manual Distance/Time measurement technology is a market leading and trusted solution for police forces around the world, with thousands of systems being sold and used for over 20 years.

With the introduction of ProVida 4000 RADAR, Petards have enhanced the system functionality to allow integration of mobile radar systems to enable compliance in countries where radar speed measurement devices are the accepted standard.

Building on the unrivalled performance and reliability of ProVida technology the ProVida 4000 RADAR system now records MPEG4/H.264 quality video footage overlaid with patrol car speed and a fully automatic radar speed measurement of target vehicles.

Using the radar sensing capability, the unit records the speed and footage of vehicles driving in either direction. The watermarked protected video evidence ProVida offers has been proven to improve the conviction rate of offenders who may have otherwise denied the speeding or driving offence.

Design Concept

ProVida 4000 RADAR system consists of four main components:

• Front 18x zoom camera with integral microphone (10x zoom camera option)
• ProVida DVR
• ProVida 4000 RADAR Remote Control Unit (RCU)
• ProVida 4000 RADAR Modular

In addition the system will also require a radar unit

Full Upgrade Options

Upgrade options for ProVida RADAR include:

• Up to 3 additional cameras
• GPS antenna, providing vehicle tracking, speed log and other meta-data information
• Live video streaming via GPRS / 3G
• Remote microphones
• Up to 500 hours of recording

Key Features

ProVida 4000 RADAR has the ability to integrate with any monitor fitted into the vehicle (even if it is already being used for other purposes), as long as there is a composite video signal input.

Once installed, the system acts as several extra vigilant eyes on the road. Utilising a directional sensing radar, speeding events and dangerous driving are recorded automatically without any need for driver intervention.

At any time, points of interest can be quickly 'marked' on the video for fast and simple retrieval at a later stage.
