Local Situational Awareness (LSA)

Petards have developed advanced surveillance systems for the Homeland Security sector for over 20 years. This experience of overt and covert surveillance, matched with our key skill in ruggedised electronics has enabled us to develop an advanced LSA solution.

Gun in GrassPetards LSA provides ruggedised day and night cameras, fitted to any fighting vehicle or aircraft. The system is capable of integrating with various other supplied cameras over a secure video network - including head-cams, and covert cameras placed the area of operation.

Images and sound from all sources can then be reviewed securely at a central location via capable Tactical Data Links, GPRS or 3G technology.

Alert inputs such as gun fire can be automatically marked on the LSA recording allowing for fast review and de-brief at a later time.

ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition)

ProVida ANPR is our proven, high performance system for capturing and monitoring vehicle registration marks and overview images.

Petards have a rich history in ANPR technology, working with police forces in the UK and overseas including the Metropolitan Police Force.

Check Points

ProVida ANPR cameras and technology can be used to automatically record and check number plates of vehicles passing through military check points.

Using pre-set databases, the system can alert military staff to any vehicles recorded as being of interest or that have no authorisation to pass through the check point.

Security of Military Bases

Petards re-deployable ANPR systems can be used to monitor number plates that pass close to military bases. During periods of heightened security, the data can be reviewed to investigate suspicious or patterned vehicle behaviour around the base.
